If you are not familiar with the court system, the Juvenile Court system can be an especially confusing place.  The legal terms used to describe what happens in the Juvenile Court are different than those used for an adult, and juvenile proceedings frequently require many more court appearances and require many more people to be involved than an adult case would. 

Although penalties for juveniles may be less serious than for an adult, this does not mean that juveniles should have substandard criminal defense.
